FCP 7. Apple Prores 422 50P (orange render bar)
I am doing a project in 1920 x 1080 Prores 422 at 50P. My blackmagic decklink extreme handles 10bit 50p playout fine. Playing from the preview monitor everything is great. If I drop the footage on a sequence and choose to use the clips settings no matter what I try I get an organge render bar in unlimited RT or the red bar in safe RT.
Not sure why this is happening. Has anyone had any experience with Prores 50p on the old FCP7? Is it even supported?

Do you have the scopes open? Leaving the video scopes set to display during playback cuts RT significantly. It will trigger render bars on stuff that doesn’t need rendering.

Hey Bret, that solved it. I had them on a tab and not viable but I guess still active.
Really appreciate this one.. Saved me pulling my hair out for a few more hours!
