FCP 7 and iChat Theatre Preview
Posted by Shawn Bann on November 22, 2011 at 5:42 amI’ve been trying to get the iChat Theatre Preview to work without any luck.
I am running FCP7 on 10.6.8 on my Mac Pro. iChat Theatre Preview is grayed out.
I can not figure out why. Tried trashing prefs without any luck.
(both FCP and iChat)Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks!

November 22, 2011 at 6:43 amno camera on my mac pro. is that the reason?
i thought since i was showing the video there wasn’t a need.
if that is the case, i must say i’m disappointed. is the camera doing the video routing?

November 22, 2011 at 6:46 amNot sure how it works…but it requires you to start video chat, no camera…no video chat. Had this issue, vendor bought super cheap USB cam, just to enable…u don’t have to use it.

November 22, 2011 at 10:47 pmWatched the above links, but still not having any luck.
So the feature works fine on another mac pro running 10.5.8, meanwhile on my home machine (snow leopard) the iChat theatre option is grayed out.

November 22, 2011 at 11:16 pmNeither workstations have cameras, but my workstation lets me do engage iChat theatre, whereas
my home system is grayed out. The only differences between the machines s OS version, which according to the above link, shouldn’t be the issue. -
