FCP 7 – 1920 HD 24P footage – convert to SD PAL 16:9 FHA (how???)
Hi Guys,
I really need help converting this music video for broadcast in Europe. All I know is what I have and what they want (via their specs sheet, which they waited 2 weeks to send to me…) I have never done this sort of conversion, so I don’t know – can I do it in FCP? or do I need to export a full res and do it in Compressor? I need to do this tonight, I would be eternally grateful for any assistance. Thanks!
What I have:
Full HD 1920 Footage in a 4 minute timeline shot with a Canon 5D MArk II at 24P. HQ Pro Res Timeline in FCP 7 (studio.) On a MAcbook Pro running OS X 10.6.8Their Specs (They need:)
A Pro Res 422 .MOV file in SD at 720×576, at Aspect Ratio “16:9 FHA” – Frame Rate: 25 (PAL) – Chroma Subsampling 4:2:2, INTERLACED TOP FIELD FIRST, Audio Codec PCM, Audio Sampling Rate/Size: 48/24, 2 Ch Stereo. So do I output from FCP and do all of these conversions in Compressor? I tried to cut and paste in FCP and it would not let me. How do I do all of this AND convert to PAL – AND make it 16:9 FHA?” at 720×576??? I really need a step-by-step walk through if possible. Please help! Thank you very much.
