FCP 6/MBP/NTSC Preview Monitor
Hello all,
I’m looking for a fairly inexpensive solution…. boy I’m sure you haven’t heard that one before! 🙂
I use FCP 6 to edit on my MBP. I have no NTSC preview monitor to see how the colors will look prior to DVD authoring. Currently, I have to finalize, burn a DVD, preview it from regular 16:9 TV, take notes and go back and make the necessary color corrections. This usually takes a few tries, a ton of extra time and many unnecessary steps.
I know this not the correct way or even remotely efficient when producing professional pieces yet, it’s been reality of the situation up to this point.
My camera is a an HVX200, so I work with both SD and HD 720p footage.
My question:
Is there any somewhat inexpensive alternatives/workarounds to preview my footage while editing prior to DVD authoring? I’ve looked at AJA IO HD in conjunction with NTSC field monitor, which would be ideal, however it currently exceeds my financial means.
I am willing to spend some $$$, but right now I can’t afford 4K -5K for the perfect solution.
Many thanks!
Jason
