I’ve just installed the 6.0.5 update and now the canvas in fcp is completly white when paused. When playing the video shows fine, but when stopped you just get white instead of the still frame.

Is anyone else having this problem?

    Sam.

In the top of the Canvas click the left button and check RGB instead of Alpha.

    Sam,

Did you have any other upgrade issues. I’m about to upgrade several things to get FCP capibiities for XDCAM EX editing.

    FCP 6.0.1 > 6.0.5
    OSX 10.5.2 > 10.5.6
    QT 7.4.1 > 7.6

also upgrades to my Hardware: AJA IO HD & CalDigit HDPro Array

    Hi Jeffrey,

As it turned out, the problem was not related to the fcp update. The system is working fine now and I haven’t had any other upgrade related issues.

Fingers crossed, you should be fine!

    Sam.

    Sam,

Are you also running the most current system(10.5.6) and QT (7.6)?

currently on 10.5.6 and qt 7.5.5 – must have missed a qt update – but not because of any issues..
