April 18, 2007 at 1:40 pmTo be precise, Apple is claiming uncompressed HD _quality_, not uncompressed HD, at SD file sizes. The latter sounds like it would be a violation of some law of thermodynamics.
M100 has supported several HD compressed and uncompressed formats since v 11.

April 18, 2007 at 2:14 pmYeah, I figured, just like Media100i lossless was still compressed, you just couldn’t tell the difference.
I just wonder if M100 can match them blow for blow…and develop or support a similar codec, or if they already have one as good as Apple’s already?

April 19, 2007 at 12:17 amapple has made significant improvements to the final cut line, particularly by adding color, which used to be final touch HD. that program alone is worth the price of the purchase. soundtrack pro 2 is pretty hot too. i did see with my own eyes final cut ingest XDCAM, dvcproHD 720, and dv footage and mix it all in the same timeline with no hiccuping, so looks like we cant crap all over that FCP feature anymore, but i didnt see anything that looked like the media manager has had a rehaul, something that has made me stay away from FCP altogether.
