FCP 6 in older G5
I would like to run fcp 6 with my G5 with duel 2.0 GHz Power PC and 3.5 Gigs of ram.
Is anyone else using a similar set up and if so what are your thoughts? -

I have my old (2004) G5 working with leopard and FC 6.0.5

Everything should work fine. I have two such setups here that run very smoothly. Even working with SD uncompressed is very smooth. It start coughing a bit with some HD codecs, but it’s still workable.
Just keep in mind it is now an unsupported machine, so don’t go asking Apple Tech Support for help. Ask us instead.

And Technically, you shouldn’t be able to capture HD ProRes.
