the mantra reads “Apple do not speak of unannounced products” so no one knows for sure.

but what i would say is that the studio suite is due for a refresh – especially now that the intel switch is completed and resources can go back to app development.

i think it is interesting that the official apple NAB invite borrows the final cut studio artwork….so to me that’s at least a little hint as to what is being announced.

we shall all know in a couple of weeks time.

Nobody has details… or would be killed if they were to release them.

    But for me,

Open Timeline and 5.1 support would be just fine for me. Maybe I’d like some additions to the other parts of the suite… but as of now, I can’t think of anything there I’d like more than what’s there already.

But I’m not more than a wannabe anyway – so….

I remember Apple buying out Final Touch Color correction……..If this is incorporated into FCP….that would be the BOMB DIGGITY…what do you think? Will it happen?

[Bobbygiles] “Is there any truth to this? If so do you have any details?”

we’ll all find out on April 15 what Apple has to offer.

Judging by the prices of the Final Touch HD & 2K programs I defintiely can see some reasoning behind the RUMORED 10k+ price of a new FCP 6 Professional suite. Surely Apple will release a prosumer version with Final Touch SD…Fingers crossed!

The same rumors were abound last NAB.

    But, yeah, more than likely.

I seriously doubt that Apple will ever make a version of FCP that costs 10K.
    That would be insanely stupid.

My guess is they will tweak the interface with some requested features.

    Make it even more stable.
Integrate the new colour correction tools.
Make media management something you can trust.

It will be interesting to see what happens to SoundTrack and Motion two programs
that really haven’t lived up to the hype and are in desperate need of attention.

You’re gonna look pretty silly if they do announce something like that, now won’t you?

I honestly could see something like that to compete with the high end Avids with lots of realtime and other features, but I don’t know anything more than the rest of us here. I prefer to wait until Apple actually shows what they are planning on April 15.

I think meddia manager has definitely come a lot more stable from 4.5 to 5. Atleast my slomos and speed up are managed correctly as opposed to being 1 frame. That used to be really annoying!
