FCP 6 and 7 on same computer
Hello,
I have FCP 7 on my computer now but my school uses FCP 6 and they’re not backward compatible. Should I install FCP 6, and can I have them on the computer simultaneously or will there be issues I can’t foresee? Thanks.

There will be issues. You can install another OS/FCP combo on another partition/ boot drive if you need it.

I have always installed a new version on a new boot drive and had the option of dual booting the old OS/ version on startup by holding the alt key.
That way I have vers 5.1.4 and 6.0.6 available on the same machine. It will be tricky with the move to 7 as I am replacing all the hardware.
