    Hi All,

I like to seek your advice on this issue.

    << Problem >>

Working in 1080/24PsF Uncompressed 8bit, rendering will cause FCP to render from media 5 frames before the actual media.

This affects all types of render, text overlay, mask or video effects.

e.g In Point is 00:10:00:00 and Out Point is 00:10:10:00.

The rendered media will start at 00:09:59:19 and end at 00:10:09:19.

When playing back the rendered clip, it look like there’s a jump in motion, as the rendered clip is not the correct media.

    << System Configuration >>

2 PowerMac G5 and there are different models
    2GB RAM
    AJA Kona 2

    Mac OS X 10.4.8
    QuickTime 7.1.3
    FCP 5.1.2
    Kona 3.2 driver

1 system has Apple XServe RAID + Apple FC card
    1 system has Huge U320RX-2500 + ATTO UL5D

This issue seems to be FCP related, not hardware.
As this is happening on both FCP systems, each with different storage system.

We tried re-creating a new project/sequence and trashing the FCP preference files.

For other HD formats, so far everything is fine.

Wonder if you have any advice or any experience with such an issue?
Any kind of suggestion or advice is greatly appreciated.
Hope to hear from you soon. Thanks again!

    Cheers,
