(Couldn’t find an answer by searching)

My FCP 5.1 Universal crossgrade is backordered, so …

    1. Can I run FCP 5.0.4 on a new MacBook Pro?
    2. If so, are there any issues when using P2 footage from the HVX200 with such a setup?

    Thanks,
    Steve

Could be… I just saw another post on a different forum that stated he had problems logging and capturing. I’m sure running 5.0.x in Rosetta is going to be a nightmare especially for HD footage. Chunk chunk chunk!!

Rosetta — of course. What was I thinking?

Time to get on Apple’s case about the slowness of the 5.1 crossgrade.

    Thanks!

No! That was the whole reason they developed the crossgrade. To work on the intel based machines.

    Thanks.

The crossgrade is just taking longer than expected. It’s backordered, apparently.
