FCP 5.04 batch capture problem – says continue instead of finished when done…
I know it sounds wierd, but ever since I formated my system and did a complete reinstall, I have had this problem and it’s starting to bug me.
I will have a set of clips to batch capture, once it has finished capturing, the display comes up and says xx (amount of clips) ready – continue/ cancel – I generally hit cancel and all is good – all clips have been captured…
Recently though I have been doing some very long hours and I forget and hit continue, what this does is wipes what was captured and starts recapturing…
anyone heard of this problem? any way I can fix?

Usually, when FCP starts having capture problems for no reason it’s time to trash the program’s preference files. Here’s how to do it properly:
