    Hi,

We got a new mini HD cam sony SR10-e for doing unobtrusive filming. Now I am having trouble trying to convert them. On mac especially.
I read FCP 6 has the codec but we are using FCP 5.
Any workaround guys? How can I convert them to apple intermediate HDV codec Movs or uncompressed?
I’ve tried Voltiac but its getting corruptetd outputs, like mpeg 2 type blocking with green bands.

If any one knows a solid way to get these files in that doensnt involve breaking the bank?

PC options are fine too. Vegas pro can do it but dont want to have to buy that and cant afford FCP 6.

    Cheers
    Steve

You can always play out through the patch cables into another camera, deck or capture card.

Get the current version of iMovie and use that to ingest the media.

    All the best,
