This is new and totally unexpected/perplexing. I’ve just started having problems with my FCP5 program crashing every few minutes. It just quits, not even a pop up that says FCP Suddenly quit. Just the little window with the choice to ignore or send report to Apple. It does it over and over and I’ve tried all the basic options: restart, shut down, disk utility etc.

I’m right in the middle of an edit that I promised to my client tomorrow and this is shutting me down. Any ideas from any one out there? It’s freaky!

I’m using a G5 Dual 2.5 ghz, OSX 10.4.8, 3.5gb DDR SDRAM, Two (250G ea) LaCie ext HDs,
    FCP5 Studio 5.0.4

    Have you trashed your prefs???

    How full are your drives?

Thanks, that’s the one think I didn’t think of, trashing the prefs. Duh! I’ll try that & hope it fixes it. The drives have lots of room. Thanks again.
