FCP 4.5/5 compatability
Hi folks,
I work at my home based facility and with two other clients. Each of us has FCP 4.5, and I am planning to upgrade my system to Tiger 10.4 and FCP 5, BUT my chief concern is moving projects back and forth between systems. Can FCP 4.5 read a FCP 5 project? Adobe doesn’t allow this functionality in After Effects? Will I have a similar problem or are there workarounds (ability to save a project so that 4.5 reads it)?

Your client wont’ be able to just open a 5 project file in 4.5… There are work arounds, but they are cumbersome (exporting an XML file which he imports and reconnects.. It would MUCH better if he upgraded too.
