Why do I keep running into an error message for no AGP card. I am using a Blackmagic Decklink Extreme card and I cant imagine what is going on. I had the same message for FCP Express HD on a different comp but same specs and I downloaded an upgrade from apple and it fixed the problem right away.

Is there something I am missing on the apple website or what….

    thanks for the help….

FCP 4.5 requires an AGP graphics card. The new G5s have PCIe graphics. There’s a hack that’s floating around, but not recommended. Upgrade to FCP5 and you’ll be okay.

The hack works fine…enough about that.
The upgrade is only $200! You get Motion and DVD Studio Pro…enough about that!
but the hack is simple and cost effective. Just copy some files here, remove a few files there…viola! it works!
