FCP 3 clips go offline and can’t reconnect to media
I’ve had this problem for some time now and can’t seem to find a solution. It seems that after a while captured clips spontaneously go offline and when I try to reconnect them as prompted when starting up FCP the clips are no where to be found. Likewise when I try to reconnect the clips in the timeline nothing happens. I’ve tried doing everything according to the instruction manual but always get the same results. I’m trying to revise my reel which consists of quite a few timelapses and dissolves as well as tricky audio loops and transitions and without being able to go back to the original edited sequence in the timeline I’m at a total loss for options. I’ve even tried to recapture the clips from their original sources and reconsruct the edited sequence but FCP won’t let me add the same dissolves to the clips-I have no idea why. I need to resolve this issue asap because I’m gearing up to find some new gigs. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
