FCE will not start
I have uninstalled my FCE and tried FCP, which I uninstalled and then reinstalled FCE, but it will not start. It comes up with an error window in which it among a lot of other things also says:
Dyld Error Message:
Library not loaded: /Library/Frameworks/ProFX.framework/Versions/A/ProFX
Referenced from: /Applications/Final Cut Express.app/Contents/MacOS/Final Cut Express
Reason: image not foundWhat can I do to get on track again?

How did you uninstall? Because FCE and FCP install components ALL OVER the system. FCS Remover from https://www.digitalrebellion is the way to uninstall FCP. Other than that…reformatting the system drive and installing things fresh.

I did it all over again and now it works. Strange, because I did exactly the same thing again, but never mind as long as it works.
