FCE 2-camera shoot rendering issue
Hi there,
I hope someone can help – I’m pulling my hair out here!
I have FC Express and want to do a 2 camera shoot using 2 SD card HD cameras. I plan to use a separate soundtrack, recorded at the time, onto a high quality recorder using some nicer mics than the camcorders. I’ll sync it up in the computer when I edit.
I can import the footage into FCE where it requires rendering. I render the files successfully. The problem is that when I move one of the files into another video track it needs to be re-rendered. In fact, with 2 video tracks stacked up I have to re-render whenever I move anything. Is there a way around this? Do I need Final Cut Pro?

In FCP this would be caused if your file’s sample rate was not 48kHz. Check the sample rate of your audio files. If it’s not 48kHz, use an external program like Soundtrack Pro or QT Pro to convert the audio to PCM 48kHz 16/24 bit. You can’t do it successfully from FCP.
