FC widescreen filter problem
Hi,
it’s my 1st post so i hope i am writing in the right place and respecting all the rules 😀
ahem, anyway.. i am using FC and i’ve put “2:35 widescreen filter” to a clip to add a kind of letterbox but as i scale it up, into motion panel, to cut off a part of the image i don’t like, the letterbox also scale up and go outside of the screen.. is it normal? did i miss something? any idea, suggestion, pls? -

I would suggest adding a black matte on the video track above the clip. Add the wide screen filter to that. Then the matte will add the cropping to the clip below and you can still change the scale of the clip without changing the matte.

ehm, there must be something i am missing..
excuse me pls i did few test but applying a black matte as it would be a layer above my clip, adding widescreen filter, CUT borders of the matte as result i see a black matte without top and bottom borders, like i’ve cropped the matte.. where’s my mistake? 🙂tnx in advance.

Thx a lot for the suggestion,
i did some tests and still got some problems
as i add a black matte above the clip with widescreen filter,
i got a black matte COVERING the part of the video i need and leaving visible borders,
what i would like to do is VICEVERSA but i still can’t find how to do it..where i did wrong?
any idea pls?tnx in advance,
