    Dear CC forum guys,

Hello, I need a fresh thoughts on what I’m experiencing now.

I’m currently using 2 PCs with different specs to render cinema 4d.
But strangely, the newer PC with higher spec does slower on render.

Right now, I’m testing to render the same project and new PC has 2.59 hours while my old PC has 2.45 hours.

    The specs for new PC:
    i7 4790
    32gb RAM DDR3
    GTX 970
    250g SSD for system
    1 TB for project files
    WIN 7 pro 64

    The specs for old PC:
    i7 2600
    8gb RAM DDR3
    Quadro FX 580
1 TB for System and Project files combined
    WIN 7 home

No changes are made on the preferences of both C4D.

Thank you before for your thoughts and help.

    Hello Brian,

    Thanks for the reply.

For the new pc, it’s 3.6 Ghz with 8 cores
and old pc, it’s 3.4 Ghz with 8 cores

It should be faster on the newer one.
Or maybe cinema 4d uses VGA to render?

they should be pretty close and they are, just backward – don’t know enough PC tech but if it’s not something in the OS differences it could be a ton of other things, motherboard choice etc etc etc. I’d be using them together with TR where possible.

Are the Video Cards the same?
Are you using software or hardware rendering?
