Fast sequence export to QT (same as in FCP7)
Hi
I’m editing on PRCS6, I come from FCP7.
No problems, exept I can’t find a way to fast export my sequence timeline, even afetr it’s all rendered (green bars), even keeping “use previews” checked, even “match seq settings” checked in the Export windows, both on PR or Encoder.
I just look foward to some like “Export QT movie” in FC7 (rendered timeline and fast export) to just check the movie out and make corrections if neede (only then transcode for Youtube output).Any of my tryings are so taking really so long, just like all my renders have been useless.

In CS6 this only works with MXF OP1a codec. It will work as you wish in the next version of Premiere.

To expand on what Tero told you. in the next version this Smart Rendering will work with MXF DNxHD (on PC) and Prores (on Mac).

Will Premiere Next not be able to export DNxHD on a Mac? Only PC? What if you have Symphony 6.5 installed on the same machine (Mac).

Finally upgraded to Symphony 6.5. DNxHD exports are now available in Premiere CS6.

On a PC You could export from PrP CS6 to QuickTime DNxHD if you downloaded the free DNxHD codecs from Avid. What you couldn’t do (and now can do on CS7) is export to MXF DNxHD.
AND if all your footage or Preview renders are in DNxHD you can do Smart Rendering just like FCP 7 does.
