Activity Forums Adobe Premiere Pro Fades (transitions) not smooth

    Hi Robert,

    It’s all about bit rate. I would start at around 20 Mb/s for Youtube HD in H.264.

    I can’t speak for CS4, but at least since CS6 dissolves have never finished properly – they fade down to a point, then suddenly and prematurely just end abruptly. Most noticeable if you put a white title over black background and dissolve out. Play it frame by frame – opacity ramp down to transparent never finishes, just disappears short of completion.

    With CC, in Sequence Settings, uncheck Composite in Linear Color. Also turn OFF the GPU rendering before exporting, see if that helps.

    I couldn’t see OP’s vid, but I experienced a similar issue with fade opacity ramp ending abruptly. Unchecking Composite in Linear Color worked! Thank you!
