Extremely slow rendering
This happens on sony vegas 9.0 pro and on sony vegas 10 platnium. It does not happen with sony vegas 9.0b platnium.
I need some help in resolving an issue
-I take any video file as I would in vegas 9.0b and goto render it and the rendering is 10x more choppy and slower. If I render it in 9.0b interface the render is smooth and fast. There is something about this new black interface that causes my system major problems and I would like to know how to solve it.Differences 9.0b Platnium
WMV to AVI – NTSC DV Widescreen (completely smooth and fast)
Old white interface – 100% defaultsVegas 9.0 Pro and Vegas HD 10 Platnium
WMV to AVI – =NTSC DV Widescreen (Choppy and takes forever)
New black interface – 100% defaultsI can’t for the life of me figure out why this is happening. All settings are 100% default and both are NTSC DV Widescreen, but the rendering is 10x heck 20x slower on pro and 10 hd platnium.
It normally takes me less than 3 minutes to render a video file of this length with vegas 9.0b platnium. Now its been 27 minutes and its only 83% done.
What gives NTSC DV Widescreen vs =NTSC DV Widescreen?
Why is this slower??????????????????????
I just want to be able to use the newest version without it having this problem.

I can’t answer your question but I read a lot of posts about problems with WMV files. I never use them so I’ve never come across this but it sounds like something broke in WMV handling between versions 9 & 10. You might want to contact Sony about this because I’m guessing that only they can fix it.
