Extrdue spline mask…

it works here. It helps to put the two smaller splines in a spline mask Union then subtract that from the larger spline.

Extrude
–Spline Mask (A subtract B)
—-main spline (ATAG)
—-Spline Mask (A union B)
——spline.1 (triangle)
——spline.2 (triangle)

but that is not the best way to do this (unless you really need the mask) if you are just looking to punch the holes in the letter ‘A’ it’s much easier to select all three splines in the OM, right-click and choose Connect Objects and Delete (or the command is in Mesh/Conversion). This will give you one spline you can put directly into the Extrude.
