  External monitoring on Panasonic Viera at 25fps

  I’m working on a 25fps 1080P project.

  I have a MacPro Final Cut system comprising an older model DeckLink HD Pro (dual link), with the latest drivers, an HDLink Pro 3D DisplayPort with a DisplayPort to DVI adapter and a small (17″) Sony LCD monitor for external monitoring (nothing critical). That all works fine, and all supports the 25fps material.

  I also have a Panasonic VIERA TC-P50X3 50″ 720P plasma, which can be hooked up via either component or the HDLink Pro with the DVI adapter. Playing out 23.976 or 60i material works fine.

  Is there any way – any combination of settings I can use – to get 25fps material viewable on that plasma?

  If the plasma simply can’t understand 25fps, can the combination of Decklink and HDLink manage a kludgy on-the-fly pull-down of any kind?

  Or is is just not possible?
