    hi guys,

    i am working with a FCP system OS 10.4 with a Kona video/audio card installed.
    i have a problem where the external viewing monitor is lagging behind the picture on the mac.it is way out of sync.
    it is connected composite out of the mac into the external monitors
    av input.
    i have tried everything to try and sort it but no joy so far.
    can anyone help me out?

    Go into the SYSTEM SETTINGS and click on the PLAYBACK CONTROL tab. Make sure the FRAME OFFSET is 0.

    Hi Shane,
    Have tried that but not working..the sync is way out could it be a black and burst problem? is that an option?

    Not if you are going directly to a monitor. Heck, even if you went to a deck, it should be in sync…all you would have is that ROLL issue, if you didnt have black.

    Try many offsets. -4 frames, 5 frames. Until you get it right. But for me, it has always been 0
