  External Monitor Set Up with Final Cut Express

  Hello All,

  Just bought an HP Pavilion bw 25” for using when using FCE and Motion. It is 1920x1080p…
  My footage is 1920x1080i and I’m connecting via HDMI from an
  MBPro 2008 which has a DVI port and I have a cable that converts from DVI to HDMI.

  Can’t remember now if its when mirroring is checked or not but the video doesn’t play smoothly on the HP monitor. It toggles back and forth between 2 images as though the monitor and MBP aren’t happy with each other. Audio is fine.

  I’m using the “scaled” option in Monitor prefs.
