I had a funny situation where I needed to extend a gap clip in the middle of the time line by 15 frames. Control D doesn’t do the trick, if I try the trim function I wind up shortening the next clip to the right in the time line which idon’t want to do . I added a 15 frame gap in the end but it seems like there should be a way to extend the gap clip I already have in place, right?

Make sure you’re using the select tool (A) rather than the Position tool (P) The latter will eat into the adjacent clip, the former will do what you want, and push everything back
