extend background-use clone stamp tool OR content aware scale in Photoshop
Hi
I have some footage that needs to be rotated slightly. As a result I have 1 side(right edge) that doesn’t extend to the edge of the frame.I believe I have 3 options to fix
1-scale the entire image
2-mask the area and use a clone stamp tool
3- use content aware scale in photoshop, after first masking the area I don’t want to scaleI’d prefere NOT to scale the entire image so this leaves me with options 2 and 3.
Has anyone used Photoshop’s content aware scale with after effects footage?
What are the pros and cons of this approach?Local is the new global

Not seeing the image (post a still) makes it hard to tell if it will work or not, but have you thought of just using Motion Tile (or CC Repetile) to extend the footage to the edge?

I would either use Motion Tile as Ted suggested, or use the Mesh Distort to do a non-linear stretch at the edge of the frame.
