I just installed the 5.2 upgrage for ExpressPro HD. I’m trying to import some HDV mt2 streams that had been captured with Vegas. It goes thru the quick import and progress bar but then when it’s done I get a long error message, something about parsing the file, et. These files work in Vegas. Any suggestions?

You could export each one as a quicktime with the animation codec.
May be easier to just digitize em. I grab HDV analog by tirning off deck control. Works fine as long as ya don’t need tc.

Unfortunately, I can’t recapture. We had rented a Z1U for a project and to test working with HDV. Since Avid had yet to support HDV I captured the clips in Vegas and saved them in their native m2t files. According to Avid, it can import m2t files. Maybe it can only import m2t files originated from Avid? Has anyone else had trouble importing m2t files from other programs?

There is a discussion in Avid’s forum that some people are having problems with Vegas originated HDV stuff. Somehow its not working with Avid. I have downloaded some material from the internet to check, so far material from Vegas is the only one I have problems with.

Only Vegas? Just my luck. Well, it looks like I’ll have to continue waiting to try to get some HD work done with our Avid.
