  expressions and keyframes shortcuts not working for me

  version 2014.2 (current CC)

  I’m hoping I’m just missing something. I’m hoping someone can point out what I’m doing wrong. I’m trying to update an older file and figure out what the hell I was doing. But it seems something has changed in the way things work, or how I remember they work?

  Select all layers – ctrl+A
  show keyframes – U
  add expressions – Shift+EE

  *wait….that didn’t work. It is adding effects, and only showing them for one layer!??*

  ok, lets try it the other way around? Maybe you can’t add the double letter with shift?
  so EE, so far so good. It’s showing all my expressions
  now Shift+U (nothing)

  What am I missing?
  It seems to be Sometimes adding an item, but not all the time. I’m guessing they added a new order of selection thing, or some strange extra step that isn’t making sense to me.
  I’m sure it’s obvious, but I can’t find the answer.
