    Hi folks,

    I’m in a bit of a fix with a very specific problem. I think there would be a solution to it but can’t figure it out or find a previous example.

    I have a fruit machine made in 2d layers and the spins are animated with the motion tile effect. The spins are moving so quickly that the default motion blur looks steppy even with the sample amount turned up to the maximum.

    RSMB doesn’t seem to work as the motion is too fast and it goes a bit weird.

    Rather than keyframe a blur effect manually, I was wondering if there would be a way to link the motion tile ‘Tile Center’ velocity to a blur effect. Then have the blur set to vertical only.

    Does anybody know how I might do this?

    Many thanks,
    Bill

    Play around with this for you blur amount:

    amt = .01;
    effect(“Motion Tile”)(“Tile Center”).speed*amt

    Adjust amt to suit.
