Hello,

This may seem somewhat off-topic, but the US Navy recently released videos that explain the function of its fire control computers used in WWII. What’s simply amazing about these devices is that they could do complex computer calculations via an entirely mechanical process.

You really have to see it to believe it, but I thought it was pertinent here due to the concepts and theories related to problem-solving and the simple process of pushing values around a given system for a particular result.
