Expression for camera shake
Posted by Avrohom Kohn on July 27, 2005 at 1:40 amCan anyone give an expression for camera shake? I once saw and it’s pretty simple, I just can’t remember it.
Thanx,

There is a linear way to create camera shake using the wiggler at the bottom.
You can also use the wiggle expression and apply it to your target and your camera position.Good luck,

A least with this you won’t have to have a problem with losing resolution (size) as you shake the layer if done with a position expression. Quaker fills in the gaps it makes. This isn’t an expression, but a preset, it may or may not work for you, but it’s free and a fun/useful item.

July 27, 2005 at 10:41 amApply this to your clips position proprty: wiggle(.5,20)
and this to its rotation property: wiggle(.5,2)
dork around with the numbers until you get something you like.

July 27, 2005 at 6:18 pmI’m trying to use a wiggle expression on the Position property but I only want to wiggle the horizontal. I can’t figure out how to limit it to the x axis. Is there any way to do this without the Wiggler? I’m on 5.5 w/o PBundle.
thanks – Mike

July 28, 2005 at 12:46 amit’s been asked before, so do a search for “wiggle one axis” for some more explanations,
but here’s the jist:
p=position;
w=position.wiggle(.5,20);
[w[0],p[1]];
