Expression created with pickwhip not working?
Not sure what I’m doing wrong here.
So I have a text layer dynamically generating a 5min count down. I am then trying to use Hacker text (Red Giant Universe) with the Text Target CUSTOM pickwhipped from the Source Text of the text layer.
I have tried inputting the expression to generate the 5min count down directly into the Text Target Custom and get this error.
Can anyone help??

That property has a custom data type so I’m guessing you can’t link it anything except maybe the same parameter from another instance of that effect.

Guess I’ll have to find another way to skin that cat 🙁

I know it is years later, but I am dealing with this same issue right now. No idea why they couldn’t just use text and change the data type afterwards. 😞
