  Exports and mixed codecs

  Seems the good news of the invisibility of successful playback of multiple codecs in M100 does have some bad news on exporting. But it’s not fatal. If you, say, acquire 8 bit but have some animation codec titles or movies from AE or and are using some DV acquired footage from other projects, your export will have “contrast” shifts at rendered effects and titles crossing from one codec to another.
  Our not really elegant solution has been creating and rendering a title track over the entire in to out points.
  (someone suggested “render range to bin” – that’s probably the same result, might be easier)

  This creates media with only one codec. If you have a problem you will see it immediately in your export, reference, self contained or QT movies. No need to wait until you’ve gone through compressor or bit vice or squeeze.
  The pain here is the wait for the title track to render, but it’s actually pretty quick. And reference export seems to work fine for every application after this.

  We would love to hear if anyone has other solutions to this. Is there a setting in QT that might help out here?
