Exporting1280x720 footage/sequence as 640×480.mov file
So I shot all the footage in 1920×1080 and the client said they wanted 1280×720 .mov files as final output.
I edited the 1080p footage in a 720p sequence so I could reframe a bit. Now they want 640×480 .mov as final output. What is the best/easiest way to achieve this?
I can easily find presets for .mp4 at 640×480 but I’m struggling to find a way to export at that resolution in .mov. I’m pretty tired, hopefully I’m missing something simple. Any help or advice is much appreciated. -

Best to simply make a ‘Master’ ProRes file at 1280×720, than import that into Media Encoder and manually change encoding and video frame size settings. Hope that helps.

I’m on windows, never exported as ProRes before. Do I need Quicktime PRo for that? I can’t find the export preset. Sorry, but I don’t work with standard definition much and have never run into this.

to try to export as ProRes but couldn’t find the “Apple ProRes 422” video codec. Any suggestions would be appreciated! -
Ah I’m on OSX so didn’t realise that you can’t export to ProRes on PC, no its not to do with Quicktime Pro… try exporting a master file to Avid DNxHD then, I hear that’s a good option for an intermediate codec.
But you don’t necessarily need export a Master File, its just a good workflow.. you could simply export direct from premiere and change the ‘width and height’ to the right size in the basic video settings tab…
