Hello, I was asked to mix the dialogue audio for a new pilot made in Final Cut Pro. I was wondering what file they should send. I am using Pro Tools LE and have mainly been scoring to silent .MOV files so this is new to me.

I do know that .OMF files wont work as I dont have the conversion plugin for it. Is there a workaround? .AIFF?

I really don’t know what to tell you other than to maybe bill a little more for the job so that you can buy the DV Toolkit plugin that includes Digitranslator so that you can open up OMFs. That is the post workflow that we have here at the Outdoor Channel and I don’t know of any other reliable and robust way of doing it. Plus, if you plan on doing more of this type of work, I think that plugin will be almost a requirement for you.
