    Alright,

So I finished a project last night, and it ended up being 00;01;27;13 (Around a mintue and a half.). I went up to export it like normal, and chose my normal settings (Microsoft Uncompressed AVI, 4:3 Frame Ratio, 29.97 fps). However, when it as it was exporting, the dialogue box that tells you the status said there were some 1,000,000 frames, and it would take around 9 hours to export! Normally it only takes a couple minutes for something like this to export. So, I just went along with it, and let it export overnight.

I woke up this morning, to find that it had exported – into a 150 GB file! I tried exporting it with some compression, but didn’t let it go all the way because it still said it had to compress 1,000,000 frames and would take another 9 hours.

Anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to keep the file size/rendering time down without losing quality?

    Thanks!
    Adam

You may be exporting your whole project with an orphan clip stuck out at the end of your timeline. Try exporting the work area only, or check your timeline for orphan clips.

Ahaha! That was it! I must have moved some of the clips around when I was editing, and forgot to move them back.

    Thanks again,
    Adam
