  • exporting to flv with alpha from fcp

I am trying to find the best workflow for creating a .flv file with an alpha channel. Here is my current workflow:

    • in FCP, export green screen DVCPRO HD (720 24P) clip to After FX

    • using Keylight in AfterFX to create alpha. export back to FCP (Anim codec rgb & alpha)

    • back in FCP, I import clip from AE into new sequence (keeping settings with the clip). I then resize, color correct, etc. I leave the sequence unrendered.

    • export QT conversion, flash video, encode alpha.

everything is fine on my end, but the web developer says the .flv has missing or incorrect metadata. He said to use squeeze to encode the flv. I have tried this, as well as episode. Problem is, to get to either of those apps, the FCP sequence gets rendered, and the alpha data is lost (I have tried exporting not self contained. same result)

Is there any other get around this?

    Thanks.
