  • Exporting to Dolby show player.

I need to convert MOV files to MXF.

This is for a film festival screening of short films that are in different sizes from SD to HD and 2K.

Short films are to be shown on a dolby show player that as far a I understand only play MXF files with MPEG2 or JPEG2000 codec.

Apparently the dolby show player is the only way to access the big 2K projector that this cinema is using for their digital screenings.

I can export to qucktime with JPEG2000 codec from Final Cut Pro or After Effects and I’ve heard that there are means of re-wrapping MOV files to MXF but haven’t found a program to do that.

I use MAC but have access to PC as well. I have FCP 6, AE CS3 and CS4 on the MAC.

The boring alternative is to convert everything down to SD, put it on a DVD and show it on a small crappy projector, but that of course is not even half as fun.

    All suggestions are appreciated.

Yes, that sounds like the professional way to do it. I will ask for the founds tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Is there a way to do it for free ? just a quick and dirty re-wrapping perhaps ?
