  Exporting to device XDCAM SxS…Clip does not show on Camera or deck

  I am using Avid Media composer 8.2 with a newsletter option, source material is XDAM HD 1080i 50MB 422
  Having edited a sequence I can write it to an SxS card via “Export to device XDCAM”
  The clip will show on the card on my MacBook Pro laptop
  But the clip will NOT show up on an SxS deck or camera
  The work around is to UPDATE THE CLIP on a deck or REFRESH in a camera
  The premise is I do a news edit on a Mac laptop in the field, export it to the card and take my SxS card to a satellite feed point to feed out via a deck or camera
  Is this right?
  Maybe its because Avid does not seem to write any metadata (XML ) when “Exporting to Device”
  Any thoughts would be appreciated
