Exporting to desired aspect ratio
Hi there,
I’m running Adobe Premiere Pro 7, and captured my footage from a Sony HDC-HC9 camera, (PAL, aspect ratio 16:9)
In my project setup i selected DV Playback as the editing mode along with all the appropriate settings for the camera i was using. (D1/DV PAL Widescreen 16:9 [1.422] ),frame rate set to 25 fps.
The only problem i have is i would love to export the video to the desired aspect ratio of 720 x 480, (as opposed to 720 x 576).
However, when i do so a fair portion of the bottom half of the screen (footage) gets cut out.
I have tried a few combinations of things (like starting the project on both DV Playback/video for windows as the editing mode, making sure 720 x 480 is set before exporting), but it either just cuts out the bottom bit of footage once exported or a horrible black border is made around the footage and the quality also seems reduced.
So basically, i just would like to know if there is a way to convert my 720 x 576 .AVI file to 720 x 480 aspect ratio, while keeping the same quality and not having any footage missing from changing the aspect ratio. (and keeping it all in PAL).Many thanks
Dirk
