Exporting to a monitor with 24p.
I have a 23.97 project. (I shot with the XL2 in 24p advance)
I have a DAC-100 dv deck (Its a analog to DV converter). In Avid when I am in a 30i project I can export it to the DV device just fine. But when Im in 24p the option “Output to DV device” is not even available.How can I preview my 23.97 project via firewire to my dv device? Do I need to tell avid to do pull down first?

Output back out over FireWire without an Avid Mojo was part of the 5.0 release. Previous versions of Xpress Pro need Mojo regardless of Mac or PC. Mac gets this feature with the release in a few weeks.

So becuase I have Avid Xpress 5.2 HD without Mojo, I can not export my 23.97 project through a fire wire to a DV deck?
Is that correct?

I have the academic version. it did not come with the Mojo.

As I said in my mail, that feature came in 5.0 which means you have that feature if you are using 5.2. Make sure you are in green/green mode first.
