Exporting time on a short project seems too long
Posted by Magicbrian on December 4, 2005 at 9:48 pmEverytime I export my project, which is under 4 minutes, using the Adobe Media Encoder it takes over a half an hour. Sometimes longer depending on the format. Is this normal?
I have exported it as a MPEG2-DVD, a MPEG1 and as a Quicktime 256 streaming.Magicbrian replied 20 years, 9 months ago 3 Members · 7 Replies -

December 4, 2005 at 10:14 pmSounds longer than I would expect from my system. What specs ( Computer, RAM, processor etc )are you running the application from.

December 5, 2005 at 5:36 pmI am using a Dell Pentium 4 with 768 MB RAM – windows xp and I have an external hard drive with tons of space. Also, there are so special effects in my project, just a couple of crossfades so nothing that should make rendering take long.
Thanks for the help. -

December 8, 2005 at 1:34 amThanks for the help. I’ll look into squeezing some more RAM into my computer. Got any suggestions on good DVD authoring software? I have used ULEAD but it’s not working properly and it look too consumerish.
