  • Exporting TIFF sequence

I’ve been asked to export a TIFF sequence from some original HDV footage I have edited with Vegas 6. The only option I’ve found is using Render As- QuickTime 6 – TIFF – Uncompressed. But I get a huge video only file, not a true sequence of numbered TIFFs. Is there any way to get that?

    Thank you

What if you use the script to export a sequence of PNG files and then use your photo program to convert them to TIFF?

Thank you Edward! Which script should I use? How do I install it? And… Will there be any loss of resolution when converting to TGA and then to TIFF? I need maximum quality.

    Thank you

What version of Vegas are you using. This was added to V5 (and is available in V6). I’m sure you can get this script to work in V4… but not sure where you would find one already setup to work with it.

Ooops! I thought the script was available at your website… Now I found it in Vegas 6. Thank you and sorry for the misunderstanding.

    Alex ~

If you end up with heaps of JPG’s or PNG’s after the sequence export a good free utility that can do a good batch conversion on all your stills is ‘Irfanview’. It can do heaps more besides but for batch conversion on large amounts of graphics to and from almost any format it is hard to beat for the price. I use it often and found it very suitable for what you want to do.
