After importing my clips from a Panasonic HVX200 via log and transfer, the footage looks great. However when I export still images using quicktime conversion it uses the 980×720 resolution but changes the pixel aspect ratio making the images appear squished to 4:3 rather than 16:9. Any ideas how to view these images in their correct form???

They are recorded in that format…960×720 is anamorphic HD…4:3. When you take them into FCP, it elongates the footage back out to 16:9.

You will need to use a photo editor like Photoshop or Pixelmator to adjust the dimensions to 1280×720.
