    Exporting settings going from FCP to Avid

    Hi!

    I’m working with the newest version of FCP. I’ve finished an edit and I want to export it and bring it into AVID. What’s the best compression to do this? What does AVID like compression wise?

    I’ve tried a few tests, but had a few problems. I exported as annimation and it worked great however when I brought it into AVID it crushed all my colors.

    My sequence is 1080p 30 at 29.97
    I shot with HVX 200

    Any advice would be great!

    you should render to an Avid codec so you can play it in realtime and not be worried about level changes.

    you can download the free codecs at their site.
