    Hello

    late Merry Xmas to all

Having problems with a HDV 1080i60 project. Footage captured as ProRes 422, working time-line/Sequence ProRes 422, Render as per Sequence.

When l Export as ProRes 422 Quicktime.MOV self contained the .MOV quicktime file has problems on Movement and Cross Dissolves it’s jumping and skipping at times any advice on how to fix the problem?

the Exported project also has lost quality any advice?

I will need to make the completed project into the following files what is the best way and processes for this

    the Project runs 1.45 total

    1. Top Quailty DVD
    2. HD Web Clip
    3.HD You-tube

I understand these areas have been covered before, but l am unable to find what l am asking about

l would appreciate any advice and how to to fix my problem, l need a fix fairly Urgent

    thanks in advance

    regard Paul

Sounds as if you have fields reversed. Check your sequence settings, what do they say as far as field dominance?

Also, is “Full” checked in the Render All menu? Have you rendered?

[paul roubicek] “All menu have all tick but the FULL is not?”

Check that one too and try re-rendering the timeline before exporting a Quicktime Movie at current settings. DO NOT CHECK THE RECOMPRESS ALL FRAMES BOX.

Exporting a QT Movie at current settings is a precise copy of exactly what it on the timeline. So, if yours is really different that would be quite odd. Your fields are set correctly, so if the Full render doesn’t work that will be very strange indeed.

    Hi david

Same problem jumping re rendered though nothing happened as l had already rendered?

the problem is only on the moving shots not still shots (video), Do l need to deinterlace? if so How???

    cheers Paul

How are you monitoring? On just a computer monitor? If so, then you will see the interlace.

You will not see it on a real video monitor, and you won’t see it on a computer monitor if you scale the video down at least 50% from it’s native frame size.

If you are simply monitoring the canvas in FCP on a computer monitor you need to make sure to set the canvas size to exactly 100%. That will eliminate many on-screen issues, including some of the interlace you’re seeing.

What type of drive is the playback from? Is it USB? Or worse, the system drive? If it’s on a separate drive that’s fast enough, I don’t know what to tell ya. If it’s USB or your system drive that may be the problem. Is it smooth playback from the timeline?

BTW…that was for the non-smooth playback after export. The other, encoding, questions are lengthy discussions for each. If you search here, you’ll find a ton of info! Compressor is your friend. Learn it and life will have joy!
